Jonah cries, ‘I promise! I promise I will give you my zebra water bottle tomorrow!’
And then Jonah grabs Hazel’s panda lunch box.
Tomorrow comes. Hazel asks carefully, ‘Can I have the zebra water bottle, please?’
Jonah laughs, ‘You can…’

Suddenly, his classmates walk into the classroom with a birthday cake.
‘Surprise!’ they shout.
Aiden smiles, ‘Jonah, here is my sparkling ruler, Milly’s squishy, and Hazel’s panda lunch box. We forgive you. And these are our birthday gifts for you. Happy birthday!’
Jonah cries, ‘I promise! I promise I will be honest and keep my promises from now on! Thank you, my friends!’
