Leadership Programme 2008
ThinkSeries Leaders 2008 – Shine On Stage
Resulting from over 100 interviews, 20 young leaders were selected, all with diverse talents and great potential. All our promising nominees were selected from different secondary schools all over Hong Kong.
Our intensive leadership development sessions are enabling us to fine-tune our leadership skills and inspire us with a sense of vision, thereby empowering us to take a leading role in the Think Again Awards Ceremony on 15 March 2008.
We are dedicated to becoming potential leaders of our community by having fun whilst building partnerships and friendships within the programme. We will make every endeavor to extend our influence to our fellow students who will ultimately shine one day on the world stage.

Think Series Leaders' Sharing
Carina Au-Yeung, Ho Fung College
It's really a great opportunity for me to participate in this leadership program. Organized by professional organizations, National Geographic Channel and Wiseman Education, and trained by excellent trainers, I am so glad that I am part of this program. In the last month, I have met great friends from all over Hong Kong. My teammates are from different schools and different districts.
However, we all have one common goal, which is to contribute to this program and to try our best. I can say this is nothing comparison to anything I have done before.
It's not merely doing, but achieving.
"Sometimes it takes a while to recognize that someone has a special ability to get us to believe in ourselves, and imagine that together we can do great things." ---Caroline Kennedy
Carmen Bat, Diocesan Girls' School
The programme has brought immense excitement to my busy F.6 school life.
Although organizing an unfamiliar awards presentation ceremony with minimum guidelines and maximum deadlines to meet has not been an easy task, the programme has provided me with an invaluable opportunity to exercise my creativity, sensibility and the spirit of collaboration altogether to make the event as complete and enjoyable as it can be.
I am grateful for the inspirations and advice from my trainers, who have been very approachable, helpful and understanding. I am also grateful for the opportunities of working with the 19 talented teammates, who have given me a lot of practical support, encouragement and amusement in the complicated event organization process. The friendship and unity that we built together will last for a lifetime!
Steven Chan, STFA Leung Kau Kui College
This programme is indeed a little bit short. But it inspires me in terms of leaders' attributes and some practical skills. What impresses me the most is the exposure to all other strong candidates all over Hong Kong and the invaluable friendship gained. We inarguably shine both on stage and "off stage".
Frankie Chan, Tak Sun Secondary School
With the same target, twenty of us worked the ceremony out.
What we have learnt are life-long, and valuable, but the friendship we gain are much more than that. I'm very glad that having you guys to be my friends, this has enriched my F.6 life a lot. All the effort we have paid on during these three months are worthy. Wish that the Think Again Spirit can be spread to the world.
Toby Chan, Yew Chung International School (Hong Kong)
The Think Again Leadership Development Programme has offered me the opportunity to excel myself to be a better leader while working with other students around Hong Kong.
As the Head Prefect of my school, the programme has not only helped me to gain experience through the training sessions, where leaders train us to be leaders of the future, but most importantly working with my teammates and learning from them for the best possible outcome. It is how we communicate that inspires me how I could be a better leader - something I didn't realize to be that important.
Besides working together, I'm delighted that my teammates are my friends at the same time, who we could relax with after training sessions. And we should not forget our trainers, their time and their patience. It is the sharing of their personal experience that truly motivated us to work for our future.
Although the Programme has to work its way through our busy schedules alongside with our public examinations, it is one that should not be missed for a lifetime experience!
Quenie Chen, Heung To Middle School
I am glad that I have a chance to co-operate with the students from different schools and to organize an awards presentation ceremony. I enjoy the preparation process because everyone spares no pain to work it out. And soon, we will perform in the ceremony. I hope what we learnt from this program and the friendship we gained can be lasted forever.
Being one of the 'Think Again' Leaders, I have gained many valuable experiences. Moreover, I have built up my confidence after participating in 'Think Again' leadership development programme. Working with 19 outstanding leaders from different schools of Hong Kong was a chance of a life time. Organising a big event like 'Think Again Documentary Making Competition Ceremony' seemed impossible for our 20 young leaders at first. However, we finally made it with our efforts. I am really proud of every single 'Think Big' leader and our friendships are godsend presents to me.
Kathy Cheng, MFBM Chan Lui Chung Tak Memorial College
I am Kathy, a form 5 student. I am studying in MFBM Chan Lui Chung Tak Memorial College located in Tin Shui Wai. Although we have got some trouble in Tin Shui Wai, I still think that Tin Shui Wai is not all that bad as the news reporters say. At least, there is a wonderful place where my school is.
I am delighted to use this opportunity to thank my principal and my English teacher Ms. Li for supporting me to join the Think Again Awards Leadership Programme and the Think Again Awards Documentary Making Competition. I have really learned a lot. Not only can I improve my English during this rewarding leadership programme, but I have also learnt to be independent and responsible. This is because we have to cope and solve problems ourselves unlike having a teacher to help us. I have to manage the difficulties myself. Another thing that makes me happy is I met a lot of new friends .They are all from good schools. They are very kind and capable to be the leaders. I am pleased that I have been chosen for the programme after the interviews. I promise that I will contribute things that I have learnt to my schoolmates and even our society. Thank you very much!
Queenie Cheng, HKUGA College
Like. No .Other. Experience
How time flies! It seems like only yesterday that Think Again Leadership Program begun! In a blink of an eye, we have reached the end of the program. Time spent at training was ever so rewarding! Not only has it taught me useful leadership skills which I will cherish for life, it has also taught me the art of co-operating and teamwork!
I will never forget the fantastic trainers and the supportive teammates I met here! Being the youngest of all can be challenging, however, I'm most grateful for the help from the other 19 lovely buddies, who walked through the journey with me!
I've had great satisfaction with what I have taken away with me through this program. As a result, it has set me with a strong foundation of leadership skills. This has also given Think Again Leadership Program the reputation it most deserves.
I hope in the near future, more programs alike would arise to nurture future young leaders!!
Brian Cheng, Yew Chung International School (Hong Kong)
I am very thankful to be a part of the Think Again Leadership Development Programme. This programme certainly strengthens my ability to be a leader in every aspect.
Being president of the student council in my school, I have obtained immense amount of priceless experience and skills from this programme that I could apply now and for the rest of my life. I have learnt how to communicate with different types of people, even how to engage to a total stranger!
We appreciate all of our trainers who train us wholeheartedly with all their might. They have made us all better individuals and team players than we were before.
I wish to thank everyone who supports this programme to make this training programme possible. Also I would like to thank my teacher who nominated me, and of cause to all the leaders who we have leant together in the last two months.
Charles Chong, STFA Leung Kau Kui College
Through this activity I can co-operate with students from all over Hong Kong. Working with different types of students offers me new insight and perspectives. The experience has helped me to reach new heights.
Especially as the leader of the Press team, we have to manage the challenge of how to communicate effectively with the press / media. Though I am the deputy editor of my school newspaper, but dealing with outside press is a completely new challenge to us. Nevertheless, we tried our best to get the job done.
Gwyneth Ho, Ho Fung College
It is such a great opportunity for me to be a part of this programme. An unforgettable experience to pursuit beyond one's limit, the Think Again Leadership programme truly allow me to enhance myself as a student leader, being able to express myself with full confidence. At the finale of the whole programme, I have the chance to show how this programme changed me – I am now well-trained and with an enlightened spirit. The experience made me a more capable person ,confident to Shine on Stage.
I would like to express my gratitude for the marvellous trainers, and the Wiseman team. What I have learnt from all of you is invaluable. And of course, I must say that these two months I shared with the other 19 young leaders will become a life-long memory that I will always cherish in the years to come.
King Fung Lam, Cognitio College (Kowloon)
I am pleased and thankful that I can have an opportunity to participate in this Leadership Program.
To me, I have undoubtedly learnt a lot after completing this course and truly it is quite special. During the course, I have discovered new skills which I have not seen and even thought of before. I have leant to think more in detail and think deeper in organizing an activity. I will remember what I have leant and I am going to use them in the future and contribute to the society.
Generally, I do think this program can increase the quota of participants so that more students can get benefits and learn from it.
Trevor Lee, St. Francis Xavier's College
As they say, 'Think Again' before you do everything.
I think nevertheless, we must NEVER think again to gain every opportunity to learn.
I am glad that I have cherished the chance of joining "Think Again Leadership Training Programme 2008", which I have learnt much from.
Thank you every trainers.
Thank you and congratulate every young leaders.
Jessie Leung, St. Mary's Canossian College
'The winner is ...' this is a line that can be heard in every prize presentation ceremony. To me, attending an awards presentation ceremony is another time to sit back, listen to long and occasionally tedious speeches and wait for the time to go on stage. That's all. As an audience, I have never paid attention to details such as sign boards, reception, and decoration of venues...
But this time is different. I am playing a very active role in actually organizing the ceremony for over a hundred people. The logistics involved, the people that I have to deal with are of a totally different scale compared to the activities that I have organized before.
From making a checklist for every single detail to writing invitation letters to distinguished people; from contacting contestants to site visit; from chairing meetings to allocating tasks to team mates of various strengths... all these are invaluable opportunities that have polished and shaped me into a priceless gem, who I have learnt to address people's needs and to listen but not just hear.
Reminiscing, I have really enjoyed this leadership development programme - receiving training from prominent trainers and working with 19 other bright students coming from all over the territory. It often touches my heart when I receive heart warming messages from my team mates who ask me not to overload myself and take good care. The smilies (sent via MSN), the few simple words may seem trivial but they are indeed the driving force that keeps me going. I am glad that my team mates are always there to offer help reminding me that this is not a one-man band but a team work.
Nevertheless, there were times when I mentally broke down, baffled by the tight schedule and the endless work both at school and in the programme. Yet, I have made it to this stage with the immense support from Clement and Winnie who have given me a lot of valuable advice, support and encouragement.
As our big day draws near, I sincerely hope that we can all have fun in the ceremony and let our hard work pay off.
The winner is everyone of us.
Dorothy Lui, St. Mary's Canossian College
This is indeed an exciting, yet exhausting programme.
Every time when we step into a new training session, with a professional trainer standing in the middle of the room, it's a new journey of learning. Most of the training required us to be bold and step out of the environment that we're used to. We not only have to think out of the box, but also have to be brave to take decisions out of something that we have been doing.
It's exhausting and I have sacrificed sleeping hours for the preparation work for the ceremony. On top of you studies and other activities we all have, we have to handle such a large project and ceremony without much guidelines telling us what to do.
The pressure that has made me afraid that we would screw the ceremony up is sometimes unbearable, especially when you see there are a whole lot of things unfinished and the deadlines are drawing close. However, all these were compensated when you see all the supporting faces during meetings. The twenty of us, after working together for about two months, has not just been good working partners, but also lifelong friends.
I am sure that the twenty of us will stand as one and really shine on stage on in the Finale. Let's stun the public with our excellence and professionalism!
Marco Ng, Shau Kei Wan Government Secondary School
The Think Again Leadership program is a very good chance for me to meet bright leaders from different schools. From the very beginning, we knew nothing about each other. Together we started exchanging ideas, going though training, taking care of logistics…Until now, we are a lot more familiar. It is surely a nice experience for all of us and is worth devoting myself in. It would be regret if I have missed such a program.
Juliana Tam, Maryknoll Convent School
The experience of being a Think Again Leaders was immensely empowering and inspiring. I got the valuable opportunity to polish my presentation skills with the help of highly-qualified, dedicated and encouraging trainers. I also realized the importance of leadership, confidence and team work. What's more, I enjoy working with 19 talented young persons, and I am sure that the friendship and bonding among us would be last forever!
Anson Tong, The Mission Convent Church Holm Glad College
Dickson Tse, Tsuen Wan Government Secondary School
It has all been like a dream. In the past I was definitely a quiet person. I didn't like talking, nor did I get involved in groups. This was mainly because I'm really shy and I admit that. It was because of my shyness that I often cut off myself from people. Only a few close friends actually know what kind of person I'm like. Other people get the impression that I'm just a serious and quiet guy, and that's about it.
When I had my first training session, I was really scared. All of the other 19 leaders spoke English and seemed to have better brains than me. Even though most of them were 2 years older than me I still wondered if I could ever be as smart as them when I was there age. It was a special feeling. They were (and are) real talented students from schools all over Hong Kong…and they were sitting right beside me!! I wondered if I could do a good job when I would have to work with them later.
However, my attitude changed after my experiences during the training sessions for the rehearsals for the Think Again Awards Prize-giving ceremony. There was a time when I felt like everything around me would come to a halt. I saw all the others (all are my friends now), working really hard for the ceremony. They had all come from different backgrounds, but yet, they were exerting their full power to make this ceremony a good one. At the same time, we were developing really close and sincere friendships with each other. They were confident and smart. They are truly the Think Again Leaders 2008. But for me there came the questions; "Who am I? Why am I standing between them? Do I want to be part of them, have them as my life-long friends and be a leader like them?" Then an answer came up from deep in my heart - "Yes! Of course, I want to be their friend! I love them! I also want to be confident leader like them!" Coming with these thoughts was a rush of energy. I felt that if I didn't try my best with them, I would disappoint everybody. Ever since this day, when I opened myself, the real me came out. I have arrived!
It has been really good experience. I've got very good buddies, and I've found myself. What I learnt is to be confident, and to be confident is to be yourself.
Annie Wan, Sacred Heart Canossian College
Remembering back to the whole interviewing process, I never thought I would learn this much from the whole 2-month long programme. What I thought I would learn were some basic communication and presentation skills. Yes, I learnt how to use these skills but I also learnt how to use them again in the future, even if I am not being a master of ceremonies. Definitely Yes!!!!
We learnt a lot of theories but putting those theories into practice was another story. Sometimes we succeeded, sometimes we failed. But that's the way we learnt and developed. It was through having (endless) meetings, hectic rehearsals and other tasks that I realized how supportive every body was. No one pretended they were smarter than anyone else (even if they were!).
What mattered most was being there and being a part of the team. The practical element of the programme is what made the training special; otherwise it would have all been just 'theories'.
In the past, the thought of working with 19 smarty-pants (fellow 'Leaders'), would have been a nightmare for me. But this programme proved me completely wrong. Each one of them was unique and our group was never complete if one of us was missing. I learnt a lot from the other leaders and very much enjoyed being their entertainment co-coordinator. It was indeed my honor to be a part of the Think Again Leaders Development Programme, organizing the whole award presentation ceremony, and knowing everybody else who was involved.

ThinkSeries Theme Song
Composed by Rose Lee (TS10), Lyrics by Vivien Ko (TS10)
On my own, I can fly, high above, in the sky
Love being alone, I lie
There’s no one on my side and I cry
But I feel someone standing by my side
Oh my friend, because of you all things seem so perfect
I wish our friendship would last till the end
ALL: The sun rises up every time you’re here
Girl: Make me standing strong
All the worries gone!
I want to thank you with all my love
ALL: My friend DO stay here beside I pray
ALL: All the time we’ve spent to play
Make me smile on my way
As what we have said.

I would like to thank English Builder for organising such an awesome competition. It was great that I could take time from my busy schedule at school to contemplate society from different perspectives. I would like to especially thank all the staff at Wiseman Education who put in a tremendous effort into the preparation for the awards and the ceremony. When I started taking snapshots for the competition, I realised how the big and small things beside me can inspire me to probe deeper into the different aspects of the world. Thus, perhaps, the best way to spend this summer holiday is to sit back and reflect on some of the greatest lessons of my life…so far.
Ms Hau Man Wai | The HKTA Ching Chung Secondary School
“This writing competition is definitely a valuable experience to the entrants! Not only did it encourage teenagers to see writing as a useful tool to voice their thoughts but also provide a common platform for great thought sharing among teenagers. I do believe that students would find the whole event an absolutely worthwhile experience and even discover the beauty of their writings!”
Lee Cheuk Him Trevor | St. Francis Xavier’s College
Photography is always the attitude of photographers. Every photo has an unique story, which the photographer would like to tell everyone.
Think Great Snapshots Competition does us young photographers a great favour. It provides us an open stage to interpret and show people our thoughts and insights in photographs taken by ourselves.
I would like to thank Wiseman Education for always providing the young generation great opportunities to learn. I will surely join every TH?NKSeries organized by Wiseman in the forthcoming future.
Elaine Li | Melbourne Girls Grammar School
I was quite surprised that I got the award as there were so many outstanding entries. I would definitely participate again next year. I’d like to thank English Builder organizing this competition, and of course for the award.
Tse Chi-pang | The HKTA Ching Chung Secondary School
I was very happy to be given the Think Again award. I want to thank my parents, who supported me, and also my English teacher, who guided me.
What motivated me to write about ‘Freedom’? Well, my friends often told me that they did not feel ‘free’. However, to my mind, birds look free at all times. So, I wanted to let people know the feeling of being free, like a bird. That is the how I come up with the idea for my snapshot. Birds equal ‘Freedom’.
Angeline Yeh | St. Paul’s Convent School
I was quite surprised that I got the award as there were so many outstanding entries. I would definitely participate again next year. I’d like to thank English Builder organizing this competition, and of course for the award.
Well, I feel very excited and happy about receiving an award and I am very surprised that my caption was chosen as the best in the competition out of more almost 2000 participants from almost 50 different schools. It is a very good motivation for students like me to join this activity and I’m sure that I will tell all my friends and family about this inspiring competition and give them an opportunity to strengthen their narrative and artistic abilities, not to mention their command of the English language.
I will definitely be participating next year because I believe in the positive effect of competition between students and I cannot think of any better way to learn how to improve myself than to be compared to students from all over Hong Kong. The trophy also looks very nice in my house!
The Think Great competition is a lovely idea to inspire Hong Kong’s youth of today. The future generation will have more brainpower and inventive ideas to sustain our status as Asia’s world city. However it would be nice if competitors were able to ask to compete in the Best Presentation award, by sending a video of themselves to the organiser, or posting it on Youtube, because I would have really loved to present my work in front of the judges but was not able to do so because of not being included in the shortlist ( what is actually the basis for picking photos for presentation award?).
English Builder is a great program and is THE most fun and innovative learning program of English I have ever used. It covers every aspect of English needed in daily life and always uses relevant and interesting topics as the basis for their exercises. However, there could be a greater emphasis on grammar, as of all the exercises I’ve done as of September 2007 only around two had grammar or technique-based questions.
All in all, I’m very happy to have been a part of this year’s competition as well as a part of the English Builder-using family. I very much look forward to joining again next year.

THINK AGAIN AWARDS 2008 Winners |
BEST NARRATOR AWARD – Junior section
School: | Diocesan Girls’ School |
Documentary Title: | Cantonese Opera |
Team Members: | Carmen Ho, Janice Chow |
Alison Lam, Danielle So
Comments: |
Very well-produced documentary! Great combination of material, from archival footage to contemporary productions and interviews. What do you hope that the audience thinks or feels after watching? Your project does a brilliant job capturing history, development, and challenges, and in the future you might consider how to leave your audience with questions that they will carry forward! – Mr Nathan Johnston, Director & Creator, Inside / Out Cultural Exchange Film Project
|
Great script! Great narration! Great documentary! We would like to hear what students think (their perspectives) about Cantonese opera. To set your documentary mood, you may impress your audience with abeautiful melody or lyrics. Carefully select an opera to give the introduction to your documentary a strong beginning. When researching your music it is best to find one peice of music that you can use intermittetly throughout your documentary. Having the same piece of music will give your documentary a sense of unity. Overall, very impressive! |
– Mr Clement Chung, CEO of Wiseman Education
|
BEST NARRATOR AWARD – Senior section |
School: | La Salle College |
Documentary Title: | A World City? |
Team Members: | Lee Lin Tai Linus, Kwan Lok Oh |
Comments: |
This clip is a big blow on audience’s head. While tourists keep saying that Hong Kong is a world city based on our language proficiency, Hong Kong people demonstrate very little on knowledge of the world. I am impressed by the breadth and depth of the investigation, and the messages presented. I am particularly impressed by the solemn tone carried by the narrator. All in all, well done. – Dr Anson Yang, Vice Principal, SKH Li Fook Hing Secondary School |

Comments: |
The video creates interest in the topic and help viewers see their complicity, while offering practical solutions. Effective! Good integration of music. Could focus more on envisioning a different future, through creative means, or perhaps gather more comprehensive views on current situation. – Mr Nathan Johnston, Director & Creator, Inside / Out Cultural Exchange Film Project |

– Mr Burman Lam, Producer of National Geographic Channel Asia |
BEST DIRECTING AWARD – Senior section |
School: | St. Paul’s Convent School |
Documentary Title: | Domestic Violence Documentary |
Team Members: | Natalie Lam, Beatrice Law |
Inez Wong | |
Comments: |
The use of dramatizations, victim interviews, and expert opinions is quite compelling. You capture the situation for victims well, and researching public opinion provides an effective an important perspective. You creatively bring the audience into the experience of victims… similarly, can you imagine creative ways to inspire your audience to think differently about this problem? Or to analyze the causes more deeply? – Mr Nathan Johnston, Director & Creator, Inside / Out Cultural Exchange Film Project |
A through look at one of Hong Kong’s greatest social ills: domestic violence. Excellent research. Good use of “man in the street” interview techniques well supported by subtitles. |
– Mr Phil Knauth, Editor in Chief, English Builder |
Domestic Violence Documentary (DVD) – A very creative way to approach this serious subject. The documentary achieved its objectives and made us think about this sensitive subject that happens all too frequently in our society. Your documentary was also well researched. You also sought to ask people from a variety of backgrounds for their views on the subject. The closing song, combined with the images made us all breath a little easier towards the end! Well done! |
– Mr Clement Chung, CEO of Wiseman Education |
BEST EDITING AWARD – Junior section |
School: | Suzhou Lida School |
Documentary Title: | Heaven – Suzhou |
Team Members: | Xu Chan Ling, Fan Shu Yao |
Luo Wen Qi, Wang Qin Yuan
Comments: |
This video is informative, interesting, well filmed, well documented, and highly interesting. The use of the chosen music is outstanding, and strongly supports the images. This video earns my highest respect for all categories, and for its overall impression. All honours to the Team who worked so well together to produce this better than excellent look at Suzhou. This video makes we want to invite my wife to come with me to visit this lovely city. – Mr Phil Knauth, Editor in Chief, English Builder |
This documentary is well made. It shows the beauty of Suzhou, both the old Suzhou and the new Suzhou. Both the visual and acoustic effects are effective. Two different styles of music, one appropriate for the old Suzhou and the other for the new Suzhou, are well chosen. The authors are good at showing the meaning of life through very simple things, like two dogs playing with each other which shows how people enjoy life in this relaxing, tranquil city. Good job! |

Focusing on what people generally consider as a taboo, this interesting documentary indeed provokes us to think deeply. The interviews conducted on the streets clearly reveal that there are different voices in our society. Besides, it is thoughtful and professional to show the backside of the interviewees only whenever the discussion revolves around a sensitive issue. – Madam Lau, shun-hing, Chairperson, Hong Kong Parents Association |

This documentary touches our hearts! It talks about love, looks at the sensitive issues surrounding death. The touching background music and captivating images also encouraged us to think about the meaning of life. This was not an easy topic for junior secondary students but you demonstrated a very mature insight. It is great to share what you have learned. The music at end the documentary was simply stunning and selected with great throught. Well done! – Mr Clement Chung, CEO of Wiseman Education Ltd. |

A thought-provoking video. Interviewing people from different background make the video a representative one. As for the shooting techniques, the angle from which the shots are taken is selected nicely. A mysterious and spooky atmosphere is created by the background sound effects and the shots taken in dim places, which is good. – Madam Lau, shun-hing, Chairperson, Hong Kong Parents Association |

The documentary is creative and interesting. Using cartoon animation to illustrate the change of dynasty is smart and entertaining. The ending does make us think – why products made in China are perceived poorly. It would be better to have a strong ending echoing the beginning. The documentary only needs a little touch up to make it great! Keep up your good work. |

Highly relevant topic that deserves wide dissemination among Hong Kong secondary school students. The evening news format was very effectively done. The end of program weather report added a very good touch of realism. As there was no more than 15 seconds of music, I was forced to rate that category lower than I would have liked. – Mr Phil Knauth, Editor in Chief, English Builder |

It is very tempting to use causal language after seeing this documentary, so this video must be very effective! It is also entertaining. It would be great to hear more about the impact of causal language, students, teachers and parents’ perspectives on the subject. Overall, this is a good documentary! |

Documentary Title: | Traditional Market in Hong Kong |
Team Members: | Jenny Chan, Kristie Chan |

Comments: |
The script is absoltuely wonderful. The prose is at times poetic, fluid and is well written. The team must have done a lot of research before filming. It is a well thought out piece of documentary. It is a very informative and the Hong Kong Tourist Association should consider putting it in their website for reference. If the quality of live recording can be better, this documentary will go up another notch in quality. A job well done for all the team members! – Dr Louis Woo, Non-executive Director of Wiseman Education |
Highly imaginative views of Hong Kong, well narrated and informative. Subtitles are excellent. Excellent editing as the video moves from market to market. Superb coverage of the topic. |

A very good attempt. Good coverage on the society and its culture. Films too enriched; it would be much better if it focussed on one or two important messages. – Mr Yeung, king-fai, Senior School Development Officer of EDB |

Good choice of subject matter; highly relevant to today’s Hong Kong social situation. Outstanding script and narration. Very good subtitles; easy to read and accurate. Highly informative; a true teaching video that deserves wide dissemination. The song sung by the elderly Maryknoll Convent School student was, in particular, touching, very touching and moving. – Mr Phil Knauth, Editor in Chief, English Builder |

I like the experiment part very much because it takes the audience on a ride and we see the problem “first hand”, so to speak. If we want to emphasize the seriousness of the issue, perhaps we should see more “grey” sky. The beginning two minutes look like a travel documentary and it promotes, rather than investigates. The interviews with experts are very convincing for a documentary. The introduction of the team members at the end is very very creative. All in all, well done. – Dr Anson Yang, Vice Principal, SKH Li Fook Hing Secondary School |

Excellent coverage of the material. Informative, covering different forms of politeness not just in Hong Kong, but around the world as well. Some problem with with noise overriding the narrator now and then. Good use of subtitles. Editing was excellent, with varied forms of cuts and fades. The closing message was well chosen: “Whoever one is, and wherever one is, one is always in the wrong of one is rude”. I agree one hundred percent with this point of view. – Mr Phil Knauth, Editor in Chief, English Builder |

Good documentary and substance to convey the message that the public has conveniently forgotten to pay attention. Putting positive spin on those who are physically challenged is a good perspective for young people to take. Using good example of the blind collaborating with the lame to cross barriers is a motivating example for young people to build teamwork and be comfortable with their own merits and disadvantages. Good piece to get the public to ‘Think Again’! – Ms Susanna Chiu, Council Member of HKICPA |
